For the second time Renault has had a crack at building a roadster with its rather airy-fairily-titled Wind. The last attempt was back in 1996 with the Sports Spider but that was a bit of a disaster: it was deemed too complex, expensive and hardcore - early versions lacked both roof and windscreen - and so Renault ceased production after only a year and a half. This time around things are a lot simpler. The Wind is based on the Twingo and it should have a much broader appeal.

First off, the sporty Renault has a windscreen and even a clever targa-style roof that folds away in just 12 seconds. It’s also been developed by Renaultsport, Renaults performance division responsible for the sensational Twingo and Clio hot hatches, and it’s powered by engines from the Twingo range: a 99bhp 1.2-litre turbo and a more powerful 131bhp 1.6-litre. Diesel will not be offered. Pricing for the Wind range kicks off at 15,500 stretching to 18,200 putting it head-to-head with everything from the Mini Convertible to more traditional two-seat competition like the Mazda MX-5.

It’s a common problem: you’d love to shake your leg in a sweaty, cologne-choked musical hall, but your name is never on the guest list. Trying to slip the door man an Abe Lincoln doesn’t get you anywhere, and you can’t find any bounced and passed-out patrons with hand stamps you could transfer to your own hand like in that Blues Traveler video. So, are you going to just give up on your dream? No way. Take matters into your own hands and convert your auto into the most exclusive discotheque around. It’s not too tricky to do, either. Just follow these four simple steps.

Straighten Out Your Sound System

Twentieth-century audio is so pass. The first step in setting up your car club is installing a modern sound system, and the cornerstone of your hi-fi upgrade is a proper iPod car adapter. Now, a lot of people make the mistake of trying to cut corners by using an FM transmitter or cassette-style iPod car adapter. Although they’re inexpensive, they also make your music sound muddy, flat and lifeless. For crystal-clear sound, your best bet is an iPod integration kit. With that, a good bass box, wide-range speakers and a kickin’ amp, your cockpit will sound like center stage at Le Tub.

Lux Fiat

Once you have your sound system squared away, it’s time to turn your attention to ambiance. All good discotheques have impressive lighting setups, so you’ll want to deck out your ride with car lights. Along with the standard outside car lights projector headlights and Altezza tail lights you’ll need an array of sweet dance lights for your cockpit. Undulating laser lights, powerful strobes, and a disco ball dangling down below your dome light are a must. Just one word of warning: flashing police lights could land you in hot water with the 5.0, so skip those.

Make a Spectacle of Yourself

With your disco Dodge fully decked out with light and sound, your next move is spreading the word. A lot of fancy-pants marketers will try and tell you that creating buzz through social media is the only way to go viral these days, but that’s a load of jibber-jabber. Your best move for self-promotion is to just drive around town rocking your tunes and flashing your car lights. I guarantee that no one will be able to take their eyes off you.

Whip up a Guest List

Last but not least, you have to have a guest list. And this is where your work really pays off because no meathead standing behind a red velvet rope can tell you that your name isn’t on the list. In fact, you have the power to limit the list to just your name. Let everyone who disregarded you in the past gawk slack-jawed at your achievement.

In the beginning of the 20th century Guccio Gucci opened a little shop where different things made of leather were sold. The shop soon became known and loved by the clients but even the most passionate admirers hardly knew how exactly talented was that men. He had no idea about his talent himself, he just wanted to be a skillful businessman who made a good career from the lift boy in an English hotel to the director of the shop.

It is interesting to know that the emblem of the company - 2 letters G mixed in an odd manner - were designed by Guccio very seriously, as he thought a good emblem is the shortest way on top.
Because of emblem or of any other reason, but soon Gucci became more and more popular. GUCCI replica handbag, made of leather, decorated with the emblem, costed now much more ands looked so nice that actresses began to pay attention on it. Grace Kelly was the first who bought GUCCI replica handbag and took it on different ceremonies. The second was Jackie Kennedy. Due to this charming lady Gucci trade mark turns from just a shop into a fashion house with its famous clients and models.

Success of Gucci was loud but short. Soon Guccio died and left his brand to 4 sons. They couldnt keep the company on that level where it stood when Guccio was alive. In some years the grandson of Guccio had to sell the company not to become a bankrupt. Thus Gucci trade mark has now nothing in common with Gucci family.

But for sure old Guccio looks from the sky on many ceremonies in Hollywood where celebrities wear his dresses and thinks, that he was so right to create that very stylish emblem. Two letters G show everyone that Guccio Gucci had a great life and is proud of it!

It’s been a while since Mitsubishi has sent us anything other than a sporty car for a long-term test. In fact, the better part of a decade has passed since the departure of our long-term 2001 Montero sport/utility. In the meantime, we’ve gone through three Lancer Evolutions and an Eclipse. But that streak has come to an end.

With the number of utilitarian vehicles in our long-term fleet dropping rapidly, we quickly accepted Mitsubishi’s offer of an Outlander. Updated for 2010 with, among other changes, an Evo-derived front end, 10 extra ponies for its optional V-6, and a new GT trim at the top of the range, the second-gen makes an even more compelling case for itself in the increasingly crowded compact-crossover segment.

Naturally, we opted for the king of the hill. With a base price of $30,015, the Outlander GT is not cheap, but also comes nicely loaded with a 230-horse V-6, six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and a toned-down version of the Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel-drive system found in the Evo, which features an active front differential and hill-start assist. Then there’s 710 watts of audio power pumped through nine speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer courtesy of Rockford Fosgate, Bluetooth, keyless starting, a sunroof, and a flat-folding third row with just enough legroom for the point guards on a fifth-grade basketball team. There’s also a fold-flat tailgate in the back, which makes it easier to load large and/or heavy objects-it can support up to 440 pounds-into the cargo area, and it doubles as a seat.

The only factory option offered on the GT is the $3000 navigation and leather package. Ticking this box raises the price to a considerable $33,015, but adds leather upholstery to the first and second rows, a power driver’s seat, heated front seats, rearview camera, and hard-drive-based nav system. Despite all this equipment, the Outlander still weighs in at well under 4000 pounds, which helps make up for the engine’s power disadvantage against some of the competitive set and makes for acceptable performance test results.

Since its recent arrival, our Rally Red Outlander has already racked up almost 4000 miles and served tours of duty as a support vehicle for our photo and video teams. And thanks to El Nio, there might even be an opportunity to test out the S-AWC’s Snow mode. As to how well it will perform the more mundane duties of a compact CUV, we have a year to find out.

What we like:
* Almost perfect compact suburban get-it-done family mover
* Most of the road noise stays outside
* Sharp-dressed interior
* Good fuel economy
* Available XM Nav traffic with live updates

What we didnt like:
* Position and angle of display screen gets a lot of glare from sun
* iPod interface and controls reset to default settings every time the ignition is turned on
* To maximize fuel economy the automatic transmission up-shifts too early, which causes engine to fall out of power range and bog
* Tight cargo hold limits utility function

Ruling: its fuel-efficient, stylish and high-rent but limited on utility
With Ford, GM, Toyota and Honda pretty much dominating the U.S. car market, there are always hungry challengers striving to chip away at the top five carmakers tenable grasp. With a noticeable increase of market share, Hyundai has been on fire the past two years with top contenders such as the Genesis and Genesis Coupe. Fortifying their position and offering another solid vehicle into the crowded crossover market is the all-new 2010 Tucson.

While the previous generation lagged behind competitors, the new Tucson received a much-needed redesign which gave it greater power, more style and a competent interior. The changes make it one of the best values in its class.

The first generation Tucson (2005 2009) was bland and underpowered, the redesign gives it good-looking curves and a more powerful and efficient powertrain. The Tucson now has the power, fuel economy, and interior amenities to do battle with competitors such as the Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Equinox, Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape, and others.

2010 Hyundai Tucson
Best of all, the Tucson starts at $18,995, which makes it one of the more affordable crossovers in its class. In fact, only a few SUVs cost less and none of these less expensive models come close to matching the Tucsons frugal fuel economy. With its new 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and 6-speed automatic transmission, the base model is expected to achieve 23 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway. Observed mileage during our week of testing was 22 mpg overall. Its highway fuel economy is surpassed only by the GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox.

The 2010 Tucson comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 176 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. This engine replaces the previous models 2.0-liter four-cylinder and optional V6 engines. Even though the new engine delivers more horsepower than the previous V6, it has better fuel economy. In fact, it provides nearly as much power as the Toyota RAV4s 179-horsepower four-cylinder engine. We found the new engine is a champ and has no trouble in passing and merging maneuvers.

As the middle child in the C-Class model line, the C350 fills the niche between the base model C300 and the mighty C63 AMG. Like any middle child, its easy for the C350 to be overlooked between its thrifty, cheaper sibling and its steroid-using big brother. Sibling rivalry aside, the C350 manages to stand out as a compelling option in the C-class lineup.

All C350s come standard with the Sports Grille, which looks significantly better than the standard C-class front end. A sporty front end really helps give the C350 a more modern look. The 2010 model makes previous generation C350s look ancient. Optional 18-inch AMG wheels were included with the model we tested and they enhanced the sporty look of the car. Mercedes-Benz calls the C350 a sports sedan and it looks every bit the part.

The interior matches the great exterior, but has a few quirks. High-quality materials are used throughout the great looking interior. Loose feeling HVAC knobs was the only flaw in a cabin filled with solid feeling controls. The model we tested did not have navigation, but still had a small color LCD screen for the radio. An easy to read speedometer features a monochrome LCD screen that displays gas mileage and other driver information.

iPod integration was included in the C350 we tested, but its poorly executed. On the standard C350 the iPod music information is not displayed on color LCD display, but on the monochrome display built into the speedometer. iPod addicts should opt for the COMAND or Multimedia Package. Both options will display iPod track information on a 7-inch display. One ding against the Multimedia package is its laughable 6GB storage space for music. For $2,650 it would be nice if it had more storage space than a $25 dollar mp3 player. 64GB of high-speed solid state memory is priced well under $200 dollars these days and there is no excuse for such a small amount of included storage space.

An integrated part of any vehicle, the automobile electrical system has definitely made driving a lot more easier over the decades. Frequent innovations in electrical system has helped us in a comfortable and easy drive. But friends, no coin comes with a single side. If there are advantages, there are problems or hassles that accompany them.

Very often, you face problems while starting up your car and notice other problems with the electrical system. Are you aware of the problems that actually affect your electrical system. Some of the hassles that you face with your vehicle’s electrical system are:

Common Automobile Electrical System Problems Are : Car’s Battery Is Dead - This is the most common problem. Your car’s battery might be dead, thus inviting troubles for your vehicle.

No Power Stored in the Battery This is possible that your car’s battery does not have ample power so that it can spin the engine.

Alternator is Not Working At times, a damaged alternator might be the cause for the hassle. Such an alternator will not charge the battery.

Problem with Starter or Solenoid These bad auto parts will affect the functioning of a braking system.

Battery Cables Might Be The Problem A loose cable might be the root of the problem.

Electrical Fuses If there are any damaged electrical fuse or loose wire, it might affect the smooth functioning of electrical system.

Cracks In Alternator Belt Tension as well as crack in the alternator belt causes trouble.

Although a motorcycle battery and other types of vehicle batteries are built for longevity, over time batteries will slow down and eventually wear out. This occurs when the sulfate that flows over the plates begins to build up a residue on the plates, slowly diminishing the conductivity. In this article you’ll find useful information for choosing, installing, and maintaining your next motorcycle battery.

Choosing the correct size:
In order to choose the right size motorcycle battery, you’ll need to know the cold cranking amps (CCA) of your bike. Technically speaking, CCA is the number of amps a lead-acid battery at 0F can deliver for 30 seconds and maintain at least 1.2 volts per cell. Once you determine the required CCA, you’ll need to measure the length, width, and height of the cavity to ensure a correct fit.

Removal and installation basics:
When the time comes to replace your motorcycle battery, never remove the battery while the engine is running. If for reason it does not have a charge, always remove the negative cable before the positive. When installing the new battery, reverse the order and connect the positive cable first before connecting the negative. Take extra caution to identify the positive and negative terminals before attaching the cables. Accidentally reversing the polarity can cause the battery to explode or inflict a great deal of damage to your bike’s electrical system.
Recharging:
If the battery won’t start or seems dull, you may only need to recharge it. Always check the voltage of your motorcycle battery before recharging and never charge your battery at an amperage more than 1/6 the rated capacity of your battery. For example, it you have a 7 amp-hour battery, you should not charge it at an amperage of more than 1 amps. If you have an 18 amp-hour battery, you can charge it at a maximum of 3 amps. Therefore, most battery tenders offer charging amperage of from 1/2 amp up to 2 amps. NOTE: NEVER USE AN AUTOMOBILE BATTERY CHARGER ON YOUR POWERSPORT SEALED BATTERY. Although recharging seems like a simple process, as a general rule of thumb always wear protective eye wear and refrain from smoking as you are working with explosive gasses.

You’ll also want to ensure that there is no electrolyte covering the plates before adding water or recharging. Once you add the water, make sure that the vent caps are reinstalled before charging. Never recharge a motorcycle battery or any type of vehicle battery with the vent caps open. When you’ve finished charging, turn off the charger before removing the charger cables from the motorcycle battery.

Activating your new battery:
If you recently purchased a conventional battery, you may need to activate your motorcycle battery. Activating a non-sealed battery is the process of adding acid and charging the battery to the point of optimum functionality. To do this, remove the sealing tube and filling plugs, fill the battery with electrolyte, let the battery stand for about 30 minutes, then charge the battery for 3 to 5 hours at approximately 1/6 of the rated capacity. Sealed motorcycle batteries require much less maintenance and never require additional electrolyte.

If you find yourself needing to recharge your battery on a consistent basis, it’s probably time to replace it to avoid getting stuck when you’re ready to ride. To ensure that your new battery has a long life, it’s imperative to find the right size for your bike and not to overcharge. Using a battery that is too large for your bike or overcharging the battery are the two most common causes reducing a battery’s lifespan. Spending a little time choosing the right battery now means enjoying years of enjoyable, stress-free motorcycle rides in the future..

Car buying isn’t a hassle anymore. Don’t pay too much for a car! Car sales are a vicious industry that revolves almost entirely around drilling the buyer for as much money as possible. We don’t think that’s right. When you go to a department store for an appliance, there’s no haggling and no devious markup–just a set, static price for a single product, with a suggested retail price and a standard. Some people would like to think that cars shouldn’t have such a thing, and that they should be able to wring as much money out of a buyer as they please–we disagree. We make car prices low with ease.

It’s no secret that almost all salesmen are out to profit from you. Those that aren’t are crazy! It’s as simple as that. Cars are worth a certain amount, it’s as simple as that–there’s no reason you should pay too much! We try to make it a simple affair to get the finest price on your vehicle. Don’t make dealer invoice prices difficult! We help consumers get the best prices on their vehicles. The world is too expensive to pay too much on a car, especially with the increasing necessity of a functional vehicle in an increasingly larger world. Transportation is a necessity any way you look at it, no matter your location. Even if you walk on a regular basis, even if you don’t use a car to get to work, you will be surprised how often you need motorized transportation for the oddest things. Moving, helping friends and other such circumstances are just a few reasons you can’t afford to go without a car–and why cars should be afordable.
